COVID-19

Table Tennis Wales continues to monitor the Welsh Government guidance in the to ensure a safe return of the sport.  The Coronavirus Control Plan: Alert Levels in Wales (2020) sets out four alert levels, aligned with the measures the Welsh Government puts in place to control the spread of the virus and protect people’s health, depending on the state of coronavirus across Wales and other key indicators.

We will prepare for a cautious reopening of our clubs, training sessions and tournaments in line with the relevant alert level. We know that many will be keen to resume table tennis activities as soon as possible and safety will be a big priority. Rest assured, every Covid-19 compliant precaution will be taken to ensure that everyone – players, coaches, umpires, helpers – can return in a safe environment.

We will continue to provide updates based on the Welsh Government guidance and we encourage everyone to be flexible as the sport may need to move back and forth between levels, dependent on the virus and subsequent Government guidelines.
