  • Up to 30 people will be able to take part in an organized indoor group activity.
  • However, there are two important points:

Children aged under 11 plus those organizing the activity (such as Coaches) are NOT INCLUDED in these numbers. The number of children aged under 11 who can legally participate is restricted only by the boundaries of the setting (space) and the need for sufficient adults to be present to supervise.

Simultaneous groups of 30 people will be able to take part in organized activities indoors, using the UK Active guidance to determine the maximum capacity for the available setting (space).

  • It will not be possible to eradicate the risk of viral transmission in an indoor sport like table-tennis, but every effort should be made to mitigate the risk related to preventing the spread of COVID-19 where it is possible to do so. The Welsh Government has advised:

‘....we would expect all clubs, organizations or facilities providing activities at any level, whatever their size, reach or location, to be mindful of these principles when planning for a resumption of activity, to ensure this happens safely and conforms to Welsh Government guidance on the Coronavirus regulations’

‘Plans should be proportionate, should be reviewed regularly, and must offer a careful, phased approach to re-opening. Organizations should also focus on creating agile solutions that can be paused or rapidly reversed in the event of further Coronavirus outbreaks.’

We are following the Welsh Government Guidance and will move between Alert Levels as and when we are required to do so. For more information please consult the Welsh Government Coronavirus page.
