Bronze For Wales

Wales picked up a Bronze medal on Day 2 of the Butterfly International Senior Schools which is taking place at the University of Worcester.

Beth Richards & Jamie Lee Harley combined to win Team Bronze in the U18 girls after suffering a close loss to Ireland in the Semi Finals. Jamie-Lee was desperately close in her final match to lose out in the closest of margins after it seemed the win was there. In the 3/4th playoff both girls held it together to bring home the medal they deserved.

In the U14 girls, Lara, Bethan & Grace finished just outside the podium spots, as did Evan and Louie in the U14 boys category. There was a 6th place finish for Morgan and Libby in the U16 girls and two 7th places for the U18 boys (Benedict & Abhishek) and U16 boys (Joseph & Jack).

Tomorrow the focus turns to the Individual events where Wales will hope to turn the chances not converted today into some kind of medal to take back across the border.
