Vacancy: National Safeguarding Officer (Volunteer)
TTW are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer to support and advise Table Tennis Wales and its clubs/leagues on safeguarding participants in the sport.
As an organisation we have already achieved the NSPCC CPSU Level 2 Standard for Safeguarding and we expect to have achieved the Level 3 Standard by December 2019. It is important that we build on the foundations within the organisation and we are recruiting a National Safeguarding Officer (NSO) to embed this work across the sport.
The NSO will be the designated person within the organisation with primary responsibility for managing and reporting concerns and for putting into place procedures to safeguard children in the organisation, including supporting club and regional welfare officers.
The position is voluntary and will require on average around 1-2 days/month; this can be delivered flexibly and we are also open to a role share. There is an honorarium of £1500/annum attached to this work.
If you would like an informal discussion about this role then please contact: Rhian Pearce, General Manager on rhian.pearce@tabletennis.wales or 029 20 334999
To apply for this position, please send a CV and covering letter stating how you meet the below person specification to Neil O’ Connell, Company Secretary at: company.secretary@tabletennis.wales
