East Midlands Report

Lara Whitton reached the semi stage in both the Cadet and Junior singles at the East Midlands 4* Open which took place in Wellingborough last weekend.

In the Junior event Lara lost to eventual winner Charlotte Bardsley, with Beth Richards losing in the other semi final to Mari Baldwin. Lara lost out the previous day to Millie Rogove in the semis after some brilliant play earlier on in the day.

Rhys Hetherton took the top prize in the U13 plate competition beating Sam Gabriel and he also qualified through his group in the cadet singles.

Other Welsh players present were Benedict Watson, Elis O’Connor. Bethan Jones, Evan O’Connor, Sasha Lewis, Ruby Elliott, Seren Jones, Jack Palfrey, Toby Harwood, Harri Docherty & Evan Williams.
