Wales Top The Group

After defeating Norway 3-1 yesterday, Wales women top the group and will now enter a knockout format to determine the group 3 winners over the next few days against the other group winners and runners-up.

Charlotte Carey again produced 2 stunning wins against Skattet and Doval to help the team on the way. After Chloe Thomas lost to Doval in the second match, it was then up to Anna Hursey to win the decisive match. After leading 2-0 things were looking good, however Rebekka Carlsen fought back to level it 2-2. the 5th was a huge battle and Anna found herself 2-5 down before levelling at 9-9. Anna finally took it 13-11 with some  nervous decisions on both sides at towards the end.

The draw will take place later today after the conclusion of all divisions. Wales don’t play today as Bangladesh have been unable to attend.
