We are delighted to announce the new interim CEO of TTW

The Board of Table Tennis Wales would like to introduce our new interim CEO Owen Rodgers. He was selected against some outstanding candidates for the position, and we are excited to have him on board. Owen starts his position with TTW on the 18th July and we believe with his knowledge and experience within different sports will really help drive Table Tennis in Wales forward for every generation. As you will all be aware it has been a few difficult years for all sports and now is the time to get the whole of Table Tennis within Wales to flourish.

We want to wish Owen all the best in his new position.

‘Owen Rodgers’

With over twenty years’ experience of managing sport in the Higher Education Sector I have the knowledge of developing strategic partnerships, pathway sport development, facility development projects and performance sport.

I have been a Board Director for Welsh Triathlon and Chair of Welsh Student Sport.

In my previous role as Deputy Director of Sport and Head of Performance Sport at Cardiff Met University, I developed strategic partnerships with national governing bodies of sport such as Welsh Netball and Welsh Triathlon. Working with the previous TTW CEO and the board of TTW I was part of the team that won the bid to host the ETTU European Veterans Table Tennis Championships in Cardiff.

My personal experience of being involved with sport has led me to compete in the sport of Triathlon. I have completed over several distances including Ironman and I have represented Great Britain as an age group athlete.

I am married with two children and I currently live in Whitchurch, Cardiff.
