Table Tennis Wales Supports Lesotho Table Tennis Tournament
Table Tennis Wales is pleased to announce its support for a table tennis tournament in Lesotho, scheduled for Friday, February 28.
Dolen Cymru, backed by the Welsh Government, plays a vital role in strengthening the connection between Wales and Lesotho, where table tennis is widely enjoyed by the local community.
Thanks to Dolen Cymru, Table Tennis Wales is proud to support the charity HOLO and the Lesotho Table Tennis Association in hosting this exciting event, which will feature young players competing on the table.
With a focus on “health, wellbeing, and sport,” the tournament aims to encourage physical activity and promote community involvement.
This event holds special significance, as the young participants come from a disadvantaged area. Table Tennis Wales is dedicated to supporting initiatives that use table tennis as a powerful tool for positive change.
Additionally, Owen Rodgers, CEO of Table Tennis Wales, will address the participants and organisers before the tournament begins, offering words of encouragement.
The tournament will be streamed live on Dolen Cymru’s YouTube channel.
Owen shared his thoughts:
“Table Tennis Wales is thrilled to contribute to this meaningful collaboration, and we are excited to see our support make a difference at this important event. I look forward to joining the organisers and players virtually on February 28 to offer my remarks before watching the tournament unfold. Pob lwc pawb!”
