Six new table tennis coaches qualify from Level 1 Coaching course

The first course of 2025 concluded at the weekend with six new coaches obtaining their Level 1 coaching certificates.

The course was held at the prestigious Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff.

Tutored by Kate Hughes, the course saw coaches attend for a first day back in February where they covered a range of different aspects of coaching content.

Leading on from the first day, coaches subsequently delivered a series of different coaching sessions at there respective clubs whilst being mentored and supported by other qualified coaches.

The final day then saw the coaching candidates deliver assessments in the form of 15-minute coaching sessions, assessed by tutor Kate Hughes and Simon Oyler.

All coaching candidates engaged extremely well throughout the course, with a willingness to learn, share and gain new ideas and knowledge to support a growth in there coaching delivery.

Well done to those coaches who have now gained their level 1 and will look to continue in their development as coaches.
