Gerald Watkins – A Table Tennis Legend

It’s with great sadness we have to inform you that a true Welsh legend has lost his battle and passed away yesterday (24.3.2020)

Gerald Watkins gave so much to his club, his county, his region and his country. He seems to have been around for ever with his infectious laugh and wicked sense of humour. Gerald served his country in the Korean war.

Many players would have been influenced with Gerald’s coaching. His drive to get to tournaments around the UK and abroad. He was always ready to help when required.

His birthday was last Tuesday, he was 87 years old.
