Double WTT Youth Star win for Anna in Tunisia

Anna Hursey was on winning form once again in the WTT Youth Star Contender tournament – this time winning both the Under 15 Girls’ Doubles and Under 15 Girls’ Singles in Tunisia.

Having beaten local girls Balkis Suissi/Ela Saidi 0-3 in the quarter finals and Iuliia Pugovkina/Sofia Umauets of Russia 0-3 in the semis, Anna and her doubles partner Matilda Pinto (POR) beat Zrinka Rebic (CRO) and Dominika Wiltschkova (SLO) 3-2 to win the U15 Girls’ Doubles title.

Fourteen-year old Anna had an equally strong run in the U15 Girls’ Singles, beating Zlata Terekhova (RUS) 3-0 in the quarter finals, Vikoriia Shirokova (RUS) 3-0 in the semi-final and the U15 world number one Hana Goda (EGY) 3-2 in the final.
