Neil Robinson

Neil Robinson, a monumental figure in British table tennis, retired after a 45-year career marked by remarkable achievements as both player and coach. He has been involved in 11 consecutive Paralympic Games, among other accomplishments.
Neil began playing table tennis at 18 during rehabilitation following a car accident that left him wheelchair-bound. Four years later, he debuted for Great Britain in Italy, launching a career that spanned nearly five decades.
A competitor at seven consecutive Paralympics (1984–2008), Neil won seven medals, including Men’s Singles C3 Silver and Men’s Teams C3 Gold in Barcelona 1992, and further medals in Atlanta, Sydney, and Athens. Highlights include a dramatic 2004 Athens semi-final comeback and European Championship victories in 1995, 1999, and 2003.
Neil also earned a World Championship team Silver in 2002 and a singles Bronze in 2006, retiring after the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.
