Strong Performances at Senior School Championships in Jersey
Table Tennis Wales delivered a series of impressive performances at the Senior School Championships held in Jersey last weekend, showcasing determination and competitive spirit across both team and singles events.
Team Event Highlights
Across the age categories, several teams placed commendably in tightly contested matches:

U14 Boys: The B team edged out their A counterparts with a 6th-place finish, while the A team came in 7th.

U14 Girls: The B team finished 5th and the A team 6th, while a mixed team secured 11th place.

U16 Boys: Similar to the U14 boys, the B team outperformed slightly, finishing 6th ahead of the A team in 7th.

U16 Girls: The team narrowly missed a podium spot, coming in 4th overall.

U18 Boys: A solid effort earned the team a 3rd-place finish and a spot on the podium.

U18 Girls: The standout performance of the weekend came from the U18 girls, who clinched silver with a strong 2nd-place result.
Singles Event Standouts
There were notable individual performances in the singles event, with medals and deep runs in both main and plate draws:

U14 Boys: Jenson, Dylan, and Toby reached the last 16 in the main draw, while Oliver progressed to the quarter-finals of the plate competition.

U14 Girls: Amelie made it to the quarter-finals of the main draw. Ffion, Evie, Penny, and Jessie reached the last 16.

U16 Boys: Harry brought home a silver medal with an outstanding run in the main draw. Jacob also impressed, winning the plate event, while Nye and Austin reached the last 16.

U16 Girls: Lily and Izzy both reached the quarter-final stage in the main draw.

U18 Boys: Toby and Oliver J fought hard to reach the quarter-finals in the main draw.

U18 Girls: Lowri captured a bronze medal in the main draw, with Ruby reaching the quarter-finals.


Pride and Promise
The event served as a strong testament to the depth of talent across all age groups. With several podium finishes and many athletes making it deep into their respective draws, the weekend highlighted both individual and team promise for the future.
