Private hosting of overseas practice partners/coaches
Members are urged to think very carefully before considering hosting overseas practice partners or coaches for children and our general advice would be not to do so
Our policy is not to support such private applications except in exceptional circumstances where we are fully satisfied that all arrangements are legal and proper
If nonetheless, you decide to consider so doing there is a whole range of considerations you need to take into account including (but not limited to) laws and regulations in regard to safeguarding.
These are of course especially acute if the proposed coach/practice partner is under 18 years of age and therefore a child Members are required as a condition of membership to report all such proposed arrangements to us well in advance (at least 1 month and in any event before committing to them). Reports must be in writing to the General Manager, Lead Safeguarding Officer or Chair and must outline how all applicable legal requirements are being met. Should TTW have any concerns of any kind regarding such arrangements the right is reserved to inform all appropriate authorities Although TTW does not provide any advice in regard to any applicable laws & regulations (these would be entirely for you to ascertain and comply with) nevertheless more information may be found here.
