Attention Clubs and Coaches!
Are you passionate about coaching?
Do you want to develop your coaching further?
Is additional support something you acquire in your coaching practise?
Then the ‘Aspire To Coach’ programme is here to help you take your coaching to the next level.
Following on from cohort 1, Table Tennis Wales has invested a lot of time reviewing, planning, and preparing a new and improved programme that will further support Coach’s in their development, experience, and coaching practise.
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Dr. Christian Edwards and Cardiff Metropolitan University, who will deliver 6 Coach Education Workshops on the programme. This will give coaches greater insight, ideas, and models of coaching to support each coach’s knowledge and understanding of coaching.
The programme will also deliver 6 Practical Workshops that will bring theory into practise as well as looking at more technical and tactical areas of the game. These workshops will be delivered by Table Tennis Wales Coach and Education staff.
In additional to the workshops, each coach will be assigned a mentor to work with for the duration of the programme, which will support the coach’s needs. Coaching practise is also a major part of the programme, and coaches will have opportunities to gain additional experience where required through multiple areas of coaching.
The programme is fully funded by Table Tennis Wales and will be open to a
maximum of 12 coaches across Wales.
Further information about the programme can be found on the Aspire to Coach Programme below.
Coaches must apply for this through the submission an application which can be found below. The closing date is Thursday 6th October.
