SUMMARY:Level 1 Coaching Courses 2025 – South Wales
DESCRIPTION:Level 1 Session Coach course has been designed to give learners the tools to start their journey on the Coaching Pathway. It focuses on both the ‘How to Coach’ and ‘What to Coach’ elements of coaching. It provides learners with the necessary skills to be able to plan and deliver basic table tennis coaching activities/sessions.\nThe course has 3 separate elements: –\n• Practical – two days face to face led by a Table Tennis England qualified tutor/assessor\n• e-Learning – online element for both learning and assessment\n• Workbook – provides the ‘How’ and ‘What’ to coach skills along with written task\nLevel 1 Session Coach consists of 2 separate days spread over approximately a 4-to-8-week period. Learners are expected to complete a home study and practical coaching tasks between each day of the course.\nDay 1\n• How to Coach ‘Planning and Organisation, Observation and Analysis, Feedback and Reflection, Adaptability and Creativity’\n• What to Coach ‘skills in a practical environment’ – basic technical elements of table tennis.\nDay 2\n• Delivery and Review a Coaching Session (Observed Practical Task)\n• Learner Feedback and Action Plan\n• Achievement of Prerequisites\n• Home Study 4-8 weeks\n• Candidates will complete the online element of the course.\n• UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop\n \nSport Wales National Centre – South Wales\nCourse 1:\nLevel 1 Coaching Course – Session Coach\nTime: 9.00 – 5.00pm\nDates:    Day One: Saturday 1st February 2025 – 9.00am – 5.00pm\n               Day Two: Saturday 15th March 2025 – 9.00am – 5.00pm\nThe closing date for candidates to book on will close on Thursday 23rd January 2025.\nCost: £190.00 per person\nVenue: Sport Wales National Centre, Sophia Close, Cardiff, CF11 9SW\nTutor: Kate Hughes\n
